Refund Policy

Refunds for Barely-Free VPN's paid plans. Last updated 2026-09-24.

30-day refunds

If you ask within 30 days of subscribing to a paid plan, we refund your first payment in full.

After 30 days

Later payments and part-months are not refunded. You can cancel at any time and keep your plan until the end of the month you have paid for.

How to ask

Email [email protected] with your key's name or the email address on your Stripe receipt. The refund goes back to the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.

What happens to your key

After a refund your key keeps working until the end of the month you had paid for, and the subscription is cancelled so it does not renew. For example: subscribed on September 26, refunded on October 6, the key stops on October 26. If you dispute a payment with your bank instead, the paid plan ends straight away.

Cancelling

Cancel online at any time: on your key's page, press “Manage or cancel the subscription”. Your plan runs to the end of the month you have paid for and does not renew. Cancelling does not refund the current month unless you are within the 30 days above.

If you live in the EU or the UK

The law gives you 14 days from subscribing to withdraw from the contract, without giving a reason. Our policy is more generous: within 30 days you get your whole first payment back, even though you used the service. To withdraw, write to us as above; a clear statement that you are withdrawing is enough.

Your other rights

This policy does not take away any right to a refund or to cancel that the consumer protection law of the place where you live gives you.

Free keys

Free keys cost nothing, so there is nothing to refund.
